About
Kotak Kanya Scholarship is a collaborative CSR initiative by Kotak Mahindra Group companies and Kotak Education Foundation to financially support meritorious girl students from low-income families in pursuing professional undergraduate education (Engineering, MBBS, Law, Design, Architecture, Integrated BS-MS, etc.) after Class 12.
Benefits
1 Scholarship amount of INR 1.5 lakh per year for each selected student.
2 Funds can be used to cover tuition fees, hostel fees, internet, transportation, laptops, books, stationery, and other academic expenses.
3 Additional support includes mentoring, life skills, personality development sessions, and industry interactions.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible applicants must:
1 Be Indian girl students.
2 Have passed Class 12 from a recognised board.
3 Have an annual family income less than INR 6,00,000.
4 Have secured admission to the first year of professional graduation courses (Engineering, MBBS, Law, Integrated degrees, Design, Architecture, etc.) in accredited institutes (NAAC/NIRF).
5 Not be children of employees of Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation or Buddy4Study.
6 Fulfil all other terms and conditions as specified.
Selection Process
1 Selection is merit-cum-means based and includes:
2 Initial shortlisting based on academic merit (Class 12 score) and financial background.
3 Two interview rounds for top-performing applicants.
4 Final selection based on rank and at the discretion of Kotak Education Foundation.

10 Optional (if applicable): Disability certificate, death certificate of parent (for orphans)
