тЧЖAbout National Overseas Scholarship :- National Overseas Scholarship is given to the low income students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans category to study masters Degree or Ph.D Study at abroad. This scholarship provides financial assistance to the selected candidates for pursuing Masters level courses and Ph.D. courses abroad in Institutions/Universities accredited by the Government/authorized body of that country in any field of study. This year Total 125 students will get this scholarship. This scholarship is given by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Government of India.
тЧЖ Scholarship Amount / Benifits:-
1]Annual Maintenance Allowance-
15400 US Dollars for study in United States of America (USA) & other countries except UK
9900 Great Britain Pounds for study in United Kingdom (UK)
2]Contingency Allowance
1500 US Dollars for study in United States of America (USA) & other countries except UK
1100 Great Britain Pounds for study in United Kingdom (UK)
3]Tuition Fees
4]visa fees – Actual visa fees in Indian Rupees will be paid.
5]Medical Insurance
6]Incidental Journey Allowance & Equipment Allowance
7] Economy Class air tickets to travel from India to University or institute and institute or University to India.
тЧЖEligible courses for scholarship:-
Master in any stream
Ph.D
тЧЖDuration of scholarship:-
Maximum 3 year for Master.
Maximum 4 year for Ph.D.
тЧЖ Eligibility Criteria :-
1]Only Students having unconditional offer of admission to top 500 ranked foreign Institutes/Universities as per the latest available QS rankings for the year 2023 will be eligible for national overseas scholarship.
2] Only Students secured minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination are eligible for scholarship. For Ph. D courses, the qualifying exam would be MasterтАЩs Degree and for MasterтАЩs Degree courses, the qualifying examination would be Bachelor’s Degree.
3] For any University, percentage would be calculated on the basis of the marks obtained by the applicant in various semesters/ terms.
4] Only students whose age is below 35 years on 1april 2023 are eligible for scholarship.
5] Income Limit – Rs. 8 lakh per annum
6] Only students from Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans category are eligible for scholarship.

case there is gap of more than 6 months after completing qualifying degree.

- – 30% scholarships are reserved for women candidate’s.
- – Students studying bachelor degree courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
- – Students already staying or studying or having completed studies abroad by utilizing any other scholarship from State Government, other agency, or through own funds are not eligible to apply under NOS.
- If marks on marksheet is provided in CGPA Then formula for conversion of CGPA to numerical marks bearing authentication by the University should be provided by students.
- More than Two children from one family are not eligible for scholarship.
- Topics/courses concerning Indian Culture/heritage/History/Social studies on India based research topic shall not be covered under National Overseas Scholarship.
