About Fellowship:-
Sanskriti Pratishthan selects eminent artists for the Pt Vasant Thakar Memorial Fellowship in Indian Classical Music – well established and highly talented classical music artists, who are richly deserving of a wider recognition as both gurus and performers.
The Guru, if he or she wishes, may choose further to use the Fellowship amount to encourage his/her disciples to hone their skills. Sanskriti Pratishthan, has been giving similar awards and fellowships for arts, performing arts, culture, media and social activism over the past 30 years.
Objective:-
the Fellowship is to recognize and provide a platform to excellent but lesser known artists and to bring them to larger audiences
Eligibility criteria :-
1] The Fellowship is open to Indian Nationals from any genre of Indian Classical Music (Vocal or Instrumental)
2] The duration of the fellowship will be 10 months followed by a performance in Delhi.
Documents required -:
1] All candidates should mail their CV
2) Short synopsis of their project proposal to Sanskriti Head Office
Terms :-
1] The duration of the Fellowship will be ten months.
2] The grant of Rs. 1,00,000 will be given in two installments.
3] The first installment of Rs 50,000/- will be given at the commencement of the fellowship
