About:

The Aditya Birla Scholarship Programme is a prestigious initiative by the Aditya Birla Group. It aims to nurture future leaders from India’s top institutions like IIMs, XLRI, IITs, BITS Pilani, and law campuses (NLUs). The scholarship is a tribute to the late Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla and supports academic and leadership excellence.

Benefits:

  4. Scholarship Amount: IIMs/XLRI: INR 3,00,000 p.a.
    IITs/BITS Pilani: INR 1,50,000 p.a.
    Law: INR 1,80,000 p.a. or fees at actuals, whichever is lower

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. For IIMs/XLRI: First-year students from IIMs (A, B, C, L, I, K, S) and XLRI Jamshedpur.
  2. For IITs/BITS Pilani:Top 20 rank holders from select IITs and top performers from BITS Pilani.
  3. For Law Campuses: First-year students from premier National Law Universities like NLSIU, NALSAR, WBNUJS, NLU Jodhpur, and Gujarat National Law University.

Documents Required:

  1. Academic mark sheets and certificates.
  2. Proof of admission to the respective institution.
  3. ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN card, etc.).
  4. Extra-curricular achievement records (if any).
  5. Statement of Purpose (as part of application process).

Assessment Criteria for Aditya Birla Scholarship Continuation:

  1. Academic Performance:
    Scholar must be in the top 25% of their batch in terms of academic results.
  2. Assignment Ratings:
    At least 60% of assignments should have a rating of 7 or above on a 9-point scale.
  3. Campus Participation:
    Scholar must participate in a minimum of two campus forums or activities.
  4. Experience Sharing:
    Scholar must submit a 250-word write-up on ‘Being an Aditya Birla Scholar – experience sharing’.
  5. Certified Data Submission:
    All performance data must be submitted by the Scholar and certified by the Academic Dean of the institute.
    6.Holistic Evaluation:
    Final assessment is based on overall performance across all criteria. No single factor will dominate the decision.

Selection Process:

  1. Application Shortlisting:Based on academic excellence and extra-curricular achievements.
  2. Essay Submission:Shortlisted candidates write an essay on a given topic.
  3. Interview Round:Final candidates are interviewed by an esteemed panel from the Aditya Birla Group and academic leaders.
  4. Final Selection:Based on overall performance including leadership potential, values, and career vision.
