◆ About scholarship:-
D.K. Bhave, born in 1889, was a Civil Engineer from Miraj, Maharashtra. Despite coming from a financially poor family, he stood first in his matriculation class, attended Fergusson College, and went on to earn his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with Special Distinction in Edinburgh, UK. He also earned an MA in Logic and Mathematics while working as an Assistant Engineer there. He was a strong advocate for education, particularly for women. In 1950, he started a scholarship at Savitribai Phule Pune University to aid deserving students going abroad for graduate degrees in Engineering. Although he passed away before he could expand the scholarship, his daughter and sons fulfilled his promise. Recently, the scholarship was restructured to fit today’s environment, and it now supports Master’s Degrees in Engineering and Technology in USA/Canada/Germany/England.

◆ Eligibility and Conditions:
1)The candidate must be a graduate or studying in the final year of engineering from an NBA-accredited institute within the PMC and PCMC area of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
2) Candidate should have secured “Confirmed Admission” on his/her own merit for Master’s Degree in Engineering and Technology in any foreign accredited university from USA/Canada/Germany/England.
3) The purpose is to encourage students to return to India after their Masters Degree and help India to compete in the global economy.
4) For the D. K. Bhave scholarship, the students who are already in a foreign country attending a Masters Degree program in Engineering are not eligible.
5) The expected amount of Scholarship will be around Rs. 5 lacs.

1) Duly signed application form (2 Pages).
2) Copy of recommendataion letter from Director/Principal of the College
3) A copy of the “Confirmed Admission Letter” issued by the concerned University or Institute.
4) Final year mark list of B.E. / B. Tech.
5) Copy of the passport and Aadhar card.
6) Any other achievement while pursuing the B.E./B.Tech.
7) I-20 form (if available)
