The Antara Foundation (TAF) is an Indian nonprofit focused on improving maternal and child health outcomes by strengthening public health systems and community engagement. Works across multiple districts and villages in central India with frontline workers and government partnerships.
Stipend
Fellowship Stipend: тВ╣7,00,000 per annum
Note: тВ╣60,000 of this amount is paid on completion of the fellowship.
Duration
12 months (with potential early transition to a Program Officer role).
Work Nature
1.Field-based, grassroots experiential learning and implementation.
2.Involves working directly in intervention districts with communities, frontline workers, and government officials.
3.Hands-on role with strategic and operational tasks that support program delivery.
Duty Station
One of our intervention districts in Madhya Pradesh (Currently we are operational in eight districts- Chhindwara, Seoni, Betul, Barwani, Khargone, Damoh, Gwalior & Morena)
Skills / Qualifications
Applicants should have:
1.Education: Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline.
Preferably MSW, MPH, Masters in Development Studies, or MBA in Rural Development.
2.Communication: Excellent English & Hindi communication skills.
3.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze reports and monitor project plans.
4.Attributes: Passion, idea-driven thinking, willingness to learn, curiosity, coachability, and a growth mindset.
5.Teamwork: Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is implied by:
1.Having at least an undergraduate degree (any field), with preference for specified social/development studies qualifications.
2.Strong communication and analytical skills.
3.Passion and mindset aligned with working in grassroots development settings.
Responsibilities
Fellows are expected to:
1.Plan and implement interventions end-to-end and support program monitoring.
2.Grow as a leader in the assigned geographical area with mentorship from program officers and managers.
3.Analyze data to inform decisions and improve delivery.
4.Build relationships with government officials and communities to sustain quality program implementation.
5.Contribute to broader organizational activities, including donor development and evaluation collaborations.
