About Scholarship:-
The SHDF Scholarship is for Sikh students pursuing professional degree/diploma courses in India. It is conducted by Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council and Sikh Human Development Foundation.
Scholarship Amount:- Up to Rs. 40,000/‐ per year per student
Last date of application :- 31st August 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be undertaking a professional diploma/degree or postgraduate courses from a well-recognized university or institute in India.
- Student must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the last examinations of study.
- The annual family earnings of the candidate applying for the SHDF scholarship from all sources must not go beyond INR 3,00,000.
- Only Students From Punjab and neighboring states including Delhi/NCR region are eligible to apply for scholarship.
Documents Required
- Self attested copy of Mark sheets of 10th Class Examination, Sr. Secondary Examination & later exam, if any
- MC /Attested copies of Gazette (for the Examinations passed during 2022-23) of professional courses. (exams held before Jan, 2023)
- Self attested copies of Fees receipts paid for the academic year 2023-24 and Hostel/Mess charges (if any). No handwritten Receipts will be accepted.
- Photocopies of fees receipts paid for college going sibling (if annual fees is more than Rs. 20,000/- & studying during 2023-24) (if applicable)
- Copy of Death certificate(s), if Father/Mother/Husband is not alive. (if applicable). An affidavit or a letter from the Sarpanch or Tehsildar, if father is Missing / Separated or taken divorce. Proof of family income (both parents):- Must attach attested copy of latest Income Tax Return / Employer Certificate/Pension Details mentioning yearly income, details of agricultural land acreage and annual income. For daily wage laborers, (Specify nature of work) small shopkeepers (specify type of shop), self-employed persons (who have filed no income tax return) stating income from all sources as per appropriate enclosed format.
- Photocopy of front page of the passbook or cancelled cheque leaflet having your name on cheque.
- Two recent photographs
