About / Purpose
The scholarship aims at “Empowering Underprivileged Students Since 1985”. The Trust provides financial support and guidance to needy students тАФ especially those pursuing professional or postgraduate courses тАФ to help them complete their education without financial burden. Since 1985, the Trust has awarded over one crore rupees annually, with funds transferred directly to studentsтАЩ bank accounts. The scholarship is part of a long-standing initiative (since 1985) by SDM Educational Society to support underprivileged students across Karnataka.
Application Deadline
The application deadline is end of December i.e December 31st 2025 for both new applications and renewals.
Benefits / What is offered
1.Monthly scholarships (financial assistance) to students.
2. The amount is transferred directly to the studentтАЩs bank account.
Who can apply (Eligibility Criteria тАУ New Application)
Students enrolled in the first year of a postgraduate or professional course.
2. Must have secured at least 65% in 10th and 12th examinations (or equivalent CGPA of 8.0).
3. Annual income of the applicantтАЩs parents must not exceed INR 1.5 lakh.
Eligibility Criteria тАУ Renewal (for existing beneficiaries)
1. Only existing beneficiaries.
2. Must have completed the previous academic year without any failures.
3. This Application is applicable for 1st-year Post Graduation/Professional Course students only.
4. The candidate should have scored at least 80% in the 10th and 12th examinations or(at least 8 CGPA).
5. Annual Income should not exceed 1.5 Lakh

(All attachments should be in PDF or image format, and size < 5 MB).

3. Fill out the required form.
4. Attach the relevant documents.
5. Review and Submit the application.
For renewal: same steps, but only for existing beneficiaries who meet renewal criteria.
