◆ About fellowship: –
Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj National Research Fellowship will be given to candidates studying M.Phil. or Ph.D. The main objective of this fellowship is to provide financial assistance to the students belonging to Maratha, Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi & Kunbi-Maratha Castes to pursue higher studies leading to M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees (full-time) in Indian Universities / Institutions / Colleges.

◆ Fellowship Benefits: –
For physically handicapped & blind candidates Rs. 2000/- p.m. Escorts / Reader assistance will be provided.
As per government norms Home Rent Allowances for Students pursuing Ph.D. Or M.Phil. in any disciplines will be provided.
For M.Phil.: – Financial assistance Rs. 31000/- p.m. for 2 years
For Ph.D.: – Financial assistance Rs. 31000/-p.m. for 1 st & 2nd year, Rs. 35000/- p. m. for 3 rd., 4th& 5th year.
Contingency Allowances for Students pursuing Ph.D. Or M.Phil. in Humanities & Social Sciences – Rs. 10000/- p.a. for initial 1 st & 2nd year, Rs. 20500/- p.a. for 3 rd., 4th, & 5th year.
Contingency Allowances for Students pursuing Ph.D. Or M.Phil. in Sciences, Engg. & Technology – Rs. 12000/- p.a. for initial 1 st & 2nd year, Rs. 25000/- p.a. for 3 rd, 4th, & 5th year.
◆Eligibility Criteria: –
1) Non-Creamy layer category candidates of Maharashtra, belonging to Maratha, Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi & Kunbi-Maratha Castes, who have passed the post-graduation examination in concerned subject and who are pursuing full time research without JRF of UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET.
2) Only students Whose Family Income is less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum are eligible for fellowship application.
3) Age of applicant should not exceed more than, 45 years as on the date 31 December, 2022.

3 Print out of Downloaded Application along with ATTESTED PHOTOCOPIES OF ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MENTIONED IN ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND RESEARCH PROPOSAL to be submitted to “Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Development Institute (SARTHI), Balchitravani, C T Survey Number 173, B/1, Gopal Ganesh Agarkar Road, Pune – 411 004 By Registered Post / Speed Post or by Hand delivery on or before 25 May, 2023.

10. Domicile Certificate (Image Size: 1 MB, Image Format: gif, jpg png).

◆ Documents to be submitted with the Printed Application Form at sarathi: –
1. Valid system-generated printout of the online application form.
2. Research Proposal / Synopsis Submitted to the University by the candidate at the time of registration. 3. Caste Certificate or EWS Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
4. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by Competent Authority or 3-year Previous income certificate
5. Ph.D. / Integrated M.Phil. Ph.D. Confirmed Registration Letter allotted by Concerned University (In case of pursuing Ph.D. / Integrated M.Phil. Ph.D.)
6. M.Phil. Admission Letter allotted by Concerned University (In case of pursuing M.Phil.)
7. M.Phil. / Ph.D. / Integrated M.Phil. Ph.D. Admission fees or Registration fees First Receipt.
8. Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.

◆ Note: –
1) Admission to M.Phil. / Ph.D. Course in Distance education mode is not covered under this Fellowship.
2) 50% Fellowships are Reserved for Women Candidates
3) 5% Fellowships are Reserved for Persons with Disability
4) The name entered in the online application form should match exactly with all the requisite documents (SSC Certificate etc.) to be produced to SARTHI. You will be debarred from selection process, if there is any discrepancy (difference) in the name entered by you in the online application form and the name printed in the documents produced at time of document verification. Any request for subsequent changes will not be considered.
5) Applicant should make sure before mentioning Date of Registration, whether it is Date of Registration or Date of Issuing letter. 6) Candidates with CGPA score in Graduation / Master’s Degree should mention their score in Percentages. (If CGPA Score then put equivalent percentage as per Formula of your Institute / University).
7) Applicant enter the University full name with correct spelling, do not enter short form of University. E.g. like BAMU, YCMOU, SPPU. (Enter full University name like – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad).
8) Candidates called for selection process will be required to submit / produce all required documents.
9) Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID and Contact No. It should be kept active till completion of this selection process. SARTHI may send emails regarding further process through the registered Email ID. In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal Email ID, he / she should create his / her Email ID before applying online
◆ Fellowship Period: –
For M.Phil. studying candidates fellowship provided for 2 years
For Ph.D. studying candidates fellowship provided for 5 years
In case, the candidate is pursuing an integrated M.Phil. / Ph.D. programme (2+3 years), the financial assistance under the fellowship will be for 2 years for M.Phil. (CSMNJRF rates of fellowship) & 3 years for Ph.D.
