About
The Pune Municipal Corporation offers this scheme to provide financial assistance to students who have successfully cleared their tenth-grade examinations. The initiative targets eligible students residing within the corporation limits who are pursuing further education in recognized institutions. By offering this monetary support, the program aims to encourage continued academic progress among young learners, particularly those from backward classes or underrepresented backgrounds.

Eligible Courses
- All post-10th courses in government-recognized or university-approved institutions
Eligibility Criteria
- Open category students must have obtained a minimum of 80% marks in the 10th standard board examination.
- Backward class category students, or students who completed their education in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) schools or night schools, must have obtained a minimum of 70% marks.
- The applicant must have resided within the Pune Municipal Corporation limits for at least the last 3 years.
- The applicant must have secured admission in a government-recognized or university-approved institution after the 10th standard.
- The scheme is not applicable to families with more than two children born after 01/05/2001.
- Only one member per family can avail of the benefit in a single financial year.
Required Documents
- Original scanned copy of Ration Card (first page and the page showing family members’ names)
- Proof of residence in Pune Municipal Corporation limits for the last 3 years (PMC property tax receipt, electricity bill, landline telephone bill, slum photo pass, slum service charge receipt, or registered rent agreement)
- Original scanned copy of Aadhaar Card and Bank Passbook (Aadhaar-seeded bank account)
- Proof of age (Birth certificate, birth certificate from Sassoon Hospital, school leaving certificate, or educational certificate)
- Original scanned copy of Caste Certificate (if applying under backward class category)
- Original scanned copy of Class 10th Board Marksheet
- College admission fee receipt and admission card/letter
- Recommendation letter from the head of the college with all sections duly completed
