About :

The BITSAT 2026 (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is the official computer-based entrance exam for admission into First Degree programs (B.E., B.Pharm., M.Sc.) at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) campuses тАУ Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Dubai.

BITSAT not only serves as the gateway to admission but also enables students to become eligible for Merit and Merit-cum-Need Scholarships offered by BITS Pilani. BITSAT is conducted in two sessions, and candidates can appear in one or both sessions. If a student appears in both, the higher score is considered for admission ranking. Admission is strictly based on merit through BITSAT performance, followed by institute-level counseling and seat allotment.

Types of Scholarships :

1 Merit Scholarship

  • Awarded to students with outstanding academic performance.
  • Based on CGPA during the program.
  • Tuition fee waivers may range from 10% to 100%.

2 Merit-cum-Need Scholarship

  • For students with strong academic performance and demonstrated financial need.
  • Requires submission of income certificate and supporting documents.
  • Awarded semester-wise and reviewed periodically.

Approximately a notable percentage of undergraduate students receive some form of scholarship support each year.

Important Dates :

  • Last Date to Apply (Session 1 or Both): 16 March 2026 (5:00 PM)
  • Application Correction Window: 18 тАУ 20 March 2026
  • Session 1 Exam Dates: 15 тАУ 17 April 2026
  • Session 2 Registration Window: 20 April тАУ 02 May 2026
  • Session 2 Exam Dates: 24 тАУ 26 May 2026

Candidates registering only for Session-1 can later opt for Session-2 during the additional window.

Eligibility Criteria :

Academic Qualification

  • Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (2025 or 2026).
  • Minimum 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology for B.Pharm.)
  • Minimum 60% marks individually in each required subject.

Only one application per candidate is allowed. Duplicate applications are rejected.

Documents Required :

  • Photograph: JPG/JPEG format (50 KB тАУ 100 KB)
  • Signature: JPG/JPEG format (10 KB тАУ 100 KB)

Images must meet the prescribed format to avoid rejection.

  • Only Session-1:

  • Both Sessions:

  • Female/Transgender: тВ╣4,600

Dubai Test Centre

  • Session-1: тВ╣7,250
  • Both Sessions: тВ╣9,250

Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Application Process (Step-by-Step)

Register online and generate a system-generated Application Number & Password.

Verify email ID and mobile number through OTP.

Fill in personal and academic details carefully (Name, DOB, Gender, Test City cannot be changed later).

Upload required photograph and signature.

Pay the application fee through the available payment gateway.

Submit and take a printout for future reference.

Candidates are advised not to use the browser back button during the process and to log out properly after submission.

Selection Process :

Appear in BITSAT (Session 1, Session 2, or both).

Higher score is considered for merit ranking.

Admission offers are released based on merit and program preference.

After enrollment, students may become eligible for institutional scholarships.
